After completing his study on Iraq, James Baker is advocating a sit-down with all of the major players involved in Middle East conflict-- except for Israel, a new report says.
Baker's conference is reportedly designed to grant all parties-- including Syria, Saudi Arabia, and even Iran-- what they wish regardless of their support of international terror and blatant violations of human rights and democratic values.
Specifically, one source reveals that the conference would aim to please Syria by handing over the Golan; Saudi Arabia with increased Palestinian influence; and Iran with implied acceptance of that country's suspicious nuclear program and a seat at the international roundtable.
What's also clear is that Israel would not benefit--in any way-- by the conference. In fact, sources close to Baker say that it intention is to hold a conference 'without Jewish pressure'.
"Baker sees his plan as containing something for everybody, except perhaps the Israelis," one official was quoted as saying.
These remarks have left many thunderstruck given that Israel, the only democracy in the region, would be excluded to accommodate the numerous dictatorships and terror sponsors which neighbor it.
A World Net Daily report noted that jihadists around the world rejoiced at Baker's recommendations. One terror leader of Islamic Jihad in the town of Jenin said, "The report proves that this is the era of Islam and of jihad."
Hamas leaders also trumpeted the report saying that it was a victory "brought by Allah and his angels."
Many others connected to jihad and terror echoed these sentiments, proclaiming victory for the jihad in Iraq and using it as an example of how continuing terror tactics can be used to turn official foreign policy on its head.
