Top US Democrats consort with terrorist enemy

Top US Democrats recently met with leading Hamas officials, a World Net Daily report states. The terror group, which drastically favors the Democrats over Republicans, said the meeting was important because they deem the Democrats to be victors in the 2008 elections.

The implication of the meeting and its mutual good sentiment between the terrorists and the Democratic officials is that the two parties hope to form some sort of working alliance.

News of the meeting emerged in the context of Hamas' continual denial of Israel's right to exist and a Hamas charter that explicitly calls for the destruction of Israel.

The obvious immediate questions regard how committed the Democratic party can possibly be to securing one of their strongest ally's most basic rights.

That is, are the Democrats following the same deadly pattern of 1938: selling out today's Czechoslovakia (Israel) to appease a rising fascist regime (Hamas)?
