A new poll reveals that Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni is far and away the favorite choice for head of Kadima within the party, Haaretz reports.

The poll, conducted by Panorama Markets, revealed that 49 percent of Kadima voters support Livni's nomination for head of Kadima if national elections take place earlier than scheduled. Only 8.7 percent of voters support Ehud Olmert as the head of Kadima.

42 percent of the participants believe that Olmert's government will last only for another year, while 36 percent believe it will stay in power through the end of its term in November 2010.

According to the poll, Tzipi Livni is also unrivaled in a choice between Olmert and Livni for prime minister, with 61 percent of participants choosing Livni and only 24.5 percent choosing Olmert.
