A senior Hamas official in Damascus said that Hamas is prepared to release a video showing captured Israel soldier Gilad Shalit alive, in exchange for the release of Palestinian women prisoners and a large number of other prisoners.
The official, Moussa Abu Marzouk, did not give an exact figure in his interview with The Associated Press.
Israeli media had reported earlier this week that Hamas would provide a video showing Shalit alive -- the first such indication since he was kidnapped by Hamas terrorists on June 25. However, Shalit's family denied having received any tape, and the Prime Minister's Office reported that the report was false.
