Palestinian terrorists upgrading from Kassam rockets to Katyushas

According to Israeli defense officials, Palestinian terrorists responsible for Kassam attacks on Israel have traveled abroad to learn how to create and operate Katyusha rockets, The Jerusalem Post reports.

Thousands of Katyushas were were fired into Israel by Hizbullah during the recent Israel-Lebanon war. These rockets have a range of over 35 kilometers -- far enough to reach southern cities such as Kiryat Gat and Ofakim when fired from the Gaza Strip.

The Katyusha rockets would be an upgrade from Kassams, which Palestinian terrorists have pushed to their technological limit.
