Knesset Members and Christian leaders vowed to work together to confront the threat posed by Iran and radical Islam, during a meeting held to mark the Knesset Christian Allies Caucus's third anniversary in the Knesset Tuesday evening.

Highlighting the global scope of radical Islam, Gilad Erdan (Likud) said Christians and Jews, who share the values of democracy, freedom, and human rights, had to cooperate to secure the future.

"We are living in a special situation -- 60 years after World War 2, some of our neighbors decided to prepare to destroy us," Ran Cohen (Meretz) said, adding that much of the world was failing to respond.

Gideon Sa'ar (Likud) told the meeting that "the world is facing a historical confrontation between Western values and other values, represented by radical Islam," adding that "the core of the problem is not this (Israeli-Palestinian) conflict. This conflict is a consequence of the core problem."
