A Palestinian was killed early Wednesday morning by IDF fire near the Gaza border fence. According to the Palestinians, another person was injured and a third one was detained by the military in the same incident.
The IDF reported that soldiers identified suspects moving near the security fence, and fired towards them. Two of the suspects were apprehended and transferred for questioning.
Palestinian sources claim that a medical team was allowed access to the place following coordination between the two sides. Sources also said that that the army has boosted its presence in the vicinity of the fence, particularly in the northern Gaza area.
