Police chief announces resignation following Zeiler Commission's criticism

Police Commissioner Moshe Karadi announced his resignation Sunday evening, following the harsh report submitted by the Zeiler Commission earlier in the day.

In a press conference where he addressed the Zeiler commission's report in which he was widely criticized, Karadi said, "I must admit that I was surprised by the recommendations, but I will not address them now."

"This is a very difficult time for me," he added.

The scandal centered on Tzachi Ben-Or, a police officer turned criminal, who became an accomplice of the Perinian crime family while still in uniform.
