French police said Wednesday that they found the body of missing Israeli Defense Ministry official, David Dahan, in the Seine River in northern France, Reuters reported.
A police official said they would conduct an autopsy and tests Thursday to prove that the body is that of David Dahan, the head of the Israeli Defense Ministry Mission to Europe.
Dahan disappeared from his Paris home on January 21 and authorities have been searching for him since. Dahan, was living alone in France and his wife and child remained in Israel.
After Dahan was reported missing, his empty car was found next to the Seine River. Police divers searched for his body in the river but were unable to locate it.
At this stage it seems probable that Dahan committed suicide. |
