Prime Minister Ehud Olmert's brother plans to stop being an active member of Kadima, Ynet learned Monday. Prof. Amram Olmert is the prime minister's eldest brother. He serves as Israel's counselor in agriculture in the Israeli Embassy in Beijing.

Sources in Kadima said, following the report that, "Kadima's conception has collapsed."

Amram Olmert is not the only family member expected to leave the party. His son, Attorney Yair Olmert, already made the move several months ago.

Alex Fernand, a Kadima member in Haifa and a former Likud member, informed Knesset Member Tzachi Hanegbi on Monday afternoon that he also plans to leave the party.
