Shin Bet (Israel Security Agency) chief Yuval Diskin revealed Monday that in addition to financial aid, Iran is supporting the ruling Palestinian faction Hamas by providing its forces with advanced training.
Diskin said the increasing numbers of Hamas and Islamic Jihad terrorists are making the journey to Iran to learn advanced fighting techniques and how to build better bombs and missiles.
Despite the apparent effort of Hamas and Fatah to create a unity government, Diskin is not optimistic about the arrangement, saying Hamas is a "ticking time bomb inside the unity government," reported the New York Times.
Diskin reiterated his belief that if the situation continues to escalate, Israel will have to take militarily action.
