Israel's Arrow 2 anti-ballistic missile system successfully passed a test-launch Monday, following recent improvements.
According to the defense establishment, the test went as planned. The system did not have a target in this test.
A senior defense establishment source said that, with the improvement, the system is 20 percent more cost-effective. This was the Arrow's 16th test, costing an about $3.5 million.
The defense establishment is already making plans to continue developing the system to create an Arrow 3 anti-missile system, but the plans are not immediate.
