A woman was caught Thursday at the Gaza-Egypt border crossing with three crocodiles strapped to her body, Ynetnews reported.
The guards noticed that the woman looked "strangely fat" and ordered a body search. They then found the crocodiles, which were about 20 inches long each and hidden under her loose clothing.
The woman explained that someone asked her to carry the animals, a spokesman for the Palestinian guards at the crossing said. The crocodiles were probably going to be sold to private owners or to the zoo in Gaza.
The crocodiles were returned to Egypt and the woman crossed the border without the animals. |
