Gaza journalists on strike

Palestinian journalists in Gaza have launched a three-day strike to protest the kidnapping of BBC correspondent Alan Johnston.

The journalists will not cover any events of Prime Minister Ismail Haniyeh and President Mahmoud Abbas' bureaus for the duration of the strike.

Johnston was seized from his car on March 12, while driving. There has been no news of Johnston's fate and no Palestinian group has claimed responsibilty for the act. The Palestinian government promised to locate him.
