High Court: Winograd testimonies must be published before interim report

On Monday, Israel's High Court of Justice ordered the Winograd Commission to publish the testimonies of senior officials before the publication of the interim report, which is expected during the second half of April.

The testimonies include those of Prime Minister Ehud Olmert, Defense Minister Amir Peretz, and former IDF Chief Dan Halutz.

According to the ruling, the testimonies that are published will not include details that have "the potential to severely harm the security of the state," Ynetnews reported.

In response to the ruling, Zahava Gal-On (Meretz) said, "Prime Minister Ehud Olmert and the Winograd Commission's false claims have been rejected. I hope the commission will not humiliate itself any further and publish the testimonies."

She went on, "The prime minister's office must understand that you can't fool everyone all the time."
