Palestinian Prime Minister and Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh said Wednesday that Israel is "sabotaging" the negotiations for a prisoner exchange in order to realease kidnapped IDF soldier Gilad Schalit. The Palestinians are demanding many Palestinian prisoners convicted of murdering Israelis in exchange for Schalit's release.
A spokesman for Prime Minister Haniyeh called Israel the "principle obstacle" to reaching a deal.
The spokesman continued, "With the position it has adopted, Israel affirms that it does not want the release of Schalit and does not want a deal."
