Large numbers of police forces arrived in downtown Haifa Wednesday afternoon in an effort to capture a wanted Palestinian man.

Security procedures in government offices and the district courthouse nearby were intensified and employees were told to remain inside. Schools were also on terror alert but no emergency steps were taken.

A few hours after the search began security forces announced that they arrested a Palestinian fugitive.
