A documentary entitled "To Die in Jerusalem," which tells the story of a Jerusalem suicide bombing that killed two Israelis, will be featured on HBO in September.
The Director, Hilla Medalia, tells the story of a 17-year-old female Palestinian suicide bomber, Ayat al-Akhras, and her two victims: 17-year-old Racheli Levi and security guard Haim Smadar.
The documentary explores the parallel between the two young girls and the loss and pain felt by their families, culminating in a meeting between the mother of the victim and the mother of the bomber.
The documentary was co-produced by Israeli cable company Yes, American company Triple Play and the New Israeli Fund for Cinema and TV.
"To Die in Jerusalem" will appear in the 2007 Jerusalem Film Festival. |
