A Master's student and religious school teacher, Dmitriy Nikulinskiy, was stabbed to death Saturday in St. Petersburg, in what is suspected to be a hate crime.
Nikulinskiy's body was discovered shortly after the attack by his mother. He had been killed by repeated stab wounds to the neck, back and throat.
Nikulinskiy, 22, was a Master's student in biology and taught science at Beit Habad, a local religious school.
A friend of Nikulinskiy's believes that neo-Nazism was behind the attack.
"We are sure this was a hate crime because we have had a series of hate crimes of the same nature. The men who assaulted Dimitri took nothing from him," the friend told Ynetnews.
An employee of a Russian Jewish organization told Ynetnews that Nikulinskiy did "not look Russian at all, and had a very Jewish look."
Police are currently investigating the attack. |
