Three people were lightly wounded when a Qassam landed into a backyard in the western Negev town of Sderot Sunday morning.
The Qassam damaged the home, which has been previously hit by a rocket in May.
The Islamic Jihad's military wing, the al-Quds Brigades, claimed responsibility for the attack.
Another rocket was earlier launched into Israel from Gaza Sunday, landing near Sderot. No one was reported injured and there were no damages.
Sunday's attack was the first since last Wednesday, when five rockets were launched into Israel.
According to defense sources, the military would continue operating at and around the Gaza border despite events in the Gaza Strip. |
