Five Qassam rockets were launched into Israel from the Gaza Strip Sunday, three of which landed near Sapir College, disrupting students taking exams.
One of the college's buildings, undergoing construction at the time, was damaged by the rocket. No injuries were reported.
The other two rockets landed in open areas.
The Islamic Jihad's military wing, Al-Quds Brigades, took responsibility for the attack.
Later Sunday, Palestinian fired four mortars into Israel from the Gaza Strip, injuring no one.
On Friday the IDF discovered seven Qassam launchers in northern Gaza while conducting a military operation. Some of the launchers found were fitted with a timer, so that they could operate by themselves. |
