The IDF reopened a crossing with Gaza on Sunday after shutting it on Friday due to security threats, according to the Jerusalem Post, which stopped fuel supplies from reaching the Strip.
The Gaza Generating Company shut off three of its four generators after the crossing was closed, leaving about 600,000 Gazan homes without electricity.
Israel is set to reopen the crossing and resume its fuel shipments, which may take a few days to reach its destinations.
"The Palestinians are responsible for ordering the fuel they need and keeping enough in storage," Colonel Nir Press, head of the Gaza Liaison Administration said. "They can order as much fuel as they want from the Dor-Alon Energy Company and it is their responsibility to ensure that they keep stockpiles."
