IDF officer says "most" terror suspects given amnesty are abiding by deal

A senior officer in the IDF's central command said on Tuesday that the government has dismantled most of the roadblocks and barriers in Judea and Samaria over the past year, the Jerusalem Post reported.

The officer also said that most Fatah terror suspects, who were granted amnesty by Israel in exchange for an agreement to relinquish their weapons and cease terror activities, have adhered to the deal. Although some of them have not given up their weapons, IDF surveillance reports show that they have refrained from terror.

"In most of the area Palestinian traffic is flowing and there is an improvement in the economy," the officer said, adding that the remaining roadblocks were "critical for security needs."
