IDF troops shot and killed a 16-year-old Palestinian, Mohammed Jabbarin, in the West Bank city of Ramallah on Monday. Palestinian Authority security officials and the Israeli army have provided conflicting versions of the circumstances behind the incident, according to the Jerusalem Post.

Palestinian Security officials said Jabbarin was unarmed, and was shot after he heaved rocks at troops on patrol. The IDF said troops operating in Ramallah shot an armed individual laying a roadside bomb aimed at soldiers. An explosive device was found at the scene, the army said.
