"Captured IDF soldier Gilad Schalit is being looked after and is in good condition," Fatah Tanzim leader Marwan Barghouti told MK Nadia Hilu of Labor during a meeting in prison on Sunday, according to the Jerusalem Post.

However Barghouti's remarks contradict an audiotape released by Hamas in June, which reported that Schalit's health was worsening and that he needed to be hospitalized.

Barghouti also said that he was included on the list of 350 prisoners Hamas was demanding be released in a prisoner swap deal for Schalit, who was abducted by Hamas over one year ago, Israeli radio reported.
