IDF soldier killed by Palestinian gunfire in Gaza Strip

During an operation in the Gaza Strip, an Israel Defense Forces soldier, 20-year-old Sergeant Ben Kubani from Hadera, was killed Wednesday morning by Palestinian fire, Haaretz reported.

Meanwhile, a Hamas militant was killed and at least six other Palestinians, among them two civilians, were wounded by an IDF tank shell during the operation. The IDF said troops fired on militants who had targeted them with an anti-tank rocket.
