Lebanese troops opened fire Thursday on IAF warplanes flying low over southern Lebanon, marking the first time Lebanese troops shot at an Israeli aircraft since the ceasefire on August 14, 2006 that ended the Second Lebanon War.
No damage was reported, according to Haaretz.
The incident took place midmorning as Lebanese soldiers fired with machine guns and light anti-aircraft weapons at the IAF aircrafts, according to one Lebanese security official.
So far there have been no media reports quoting officials responding to the incident.
