An Israeli Bedouin security guard was killed Wednesday afternoon when two Palestinian gunmen fired on him as he guarded parked bulldozers near a section of the separation fence being constructed near the village of Idna, west of Hebron.

Sami Alkamalat, 36, from the Negev village of Rahat, became involved in a heated argujment with a Palestinian man, who snatched his weapon and with help from another man, shot him. Both of the attackers fled the area in a vehicle, Army Radio reported.

Alkamalat was wounded in the stomach and died of his wounds soon after. Palestinians also threw two firebombs at IDF troops scouring the area for the terrorists, Israel Radio reported. No soldiers were injured by the firebombs.
