| Defense Minister Shaul Mofaz on Thursday authorized the transfer of NIS 30 million ($7 million)to reinforce the roofs of homes in Gush Katif and protect them from mortar shellings. He ordered the reinforcement work be completed within one month. The homes are to be destroyed by the government later this summer as part of the government's plan for retreating from all Gaza and parts of Samaria. |
