The bullet-riddled body of a Jewish National Fund security guard, Vladamir Rubin, 66, was discovered at the Beit Guvrin cave complex site early Sunday, his weapon stolen. Tracks near the murder site led to the Mt. Hebron area, a region with many Arab villages.
Police have not officially confirmed that "nationalist motives" are involved, but all signs appear to point in that direction.
Another Israeli guard was found murdered near Shekef in the same vicinity on Dec. 22, one day after Ariella Fahima, an Israeli mother of four, was knifed to death outside her home in Moshav Nekhosha. All locations are southwest of Jerusalem. |
