Yesha Council of Settlements spokesman and political secretary Yehoshua Mor Yosef resigned Sunday due to differences with fellow council leaders, most notably Pinhas Wallerstein, over how to combat Prime Minister Ariel Sharon's disengagement plan.
Mor Yosef opposed Yesha council calls to disobey the disengagement law, even to the point of going to prison. He also disagreed with what he saw as the council's reserved support for soldiers' refusal to obey orders to uproot settlers. |
