Two Palestinians suspected of involvement in the February 25 suicide bombing of Tel Aviv?s 'The Stage' nightclub escaped from prison today.

Shakif Abdel Rani and Ahmed Zaki, members of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad, escaped from a prison in Tulkarm, where the two were being held in detention pending trial after being arrested by Palestinian security forces two months ago.

After The Stage bombing, in which five Israelis were killed, Israeli PM Ariel Sharon warned the Palestinians that meetings between the two sides would be halted unless something was done to combat terror. Defense Minister Shaul Mofaz said that Israel gave the PA a list of terror suspects to arrest.

Palestinian security forces, who said the mastermind behind the attack was the Hizbullah?s Israeli-born operations chief Kais Obeid, promised to search for the escapees.
