The Palestinian Authority's Mohammed Dahlan has informed Israeli authorities that their withdrawal from Gaza will not be complete and will not be construed as an "end to the occupation" of the Strip unless Israel hands over control of the Gaza border crossings.
Dahlan is also demanding that Israel coordinate with the PA on the exact line to which it will withdraw. "If you don't want the problems of the Sheba Farms, coordinate the line with us," Dahlan said to Defense Minister Shaul Mofaz and a professional team from the office of Vice Premier Shimon Peres.
"The withdrawal will not be complete without full Palestinian control at the crossings, without [Israeli] authorization to build the sea port and airport, and without a physical connection between the Gaza Strip and the West Bank," Dahlan said.
