The Association of University Teachers in the United Kingdom is set today to begin blacklisting Israeli professors who refuse to condemn their country's policies toward Arabs. The academics will debate today whether to boycott three of Israel's eight universities -- Haifa, Bar Ilan and Hebrew -- over their alleged complicity with the government's policies toward the so-called "Palestinians." But the boycott will exclude "conscientious Israeli academics and intellectuals opposed to their state's colonial and racist policies."

Let me give you my perspective on this action; the perspective of an Arab-American.
