Senior Islamic Jihad figure Khader Khatib says the current "calm in Israel-Palestinian violence" is close to collapse.

The remarks were made after a group member was killed during the IDF operation near Tulkarem this morning, in which 21-year-old Staff Seargant Dan Talesnikov, of Nir-Galim, was shot and killed by Islamic Jihad terrorists.

The Islamic Jihad had in fact already called on all Palestinian terrorist groups to break their supposed maintenance of calm, after a group member -- who was planning to stage a suicide bombing and filmed a videotape declaring his intentions -- was detained by the IDF.
