IDF gives Negev dwellers 'road map' for routes to take during "disengagement"

A new color-coded map prepared by the IDF aims to designate driving routes for Negev desert residents to take, during the upcoming Gaza Strip pullout . Army representatives and Negev regional council heads have already finalized most of the new "road map's" details.

The new map designates four types of roads: red roads are those controlled by the IDF, where residents will not be allowed to travel; yellow is used to designate roads on which both military vehicles and civilians will be able travel; green roads are civilian priority roads; and bypass roads, designated in blue, will be constructed by the IDF according to agreements with Negev residents.
