Israeli Ambassador to the US Danny Ayalon is set to meet with Jonathan Pollard next Tuesday. Pollard has been imprisoned in the U.S. for the past 20 years for spying on Israel's behalf.
At the same time, Prime Minister Sharon and Foreign Minister Shalom have decided to take a more pro-active approach to facilitate the release of Pollard, who has complained for some time of harsh prison conditions.
