After attempting to stab an IDF soldier at a roadblock south of the West Bank town of Tulkarem, a Palestinian man was shot to death.
The man aroused the soldiers' suspicion as he approached the checkpoint and was promptly asked to stop, but he failed to comply with the soldiers' instruction and instead pulled out a knife.
The troops fired warning shots in the air, but the Palestinian ignored the fire and continued to approach them, eventually assaulting one soldier. At that point, the troops opened fire and killed the man.
