A special investigator from the Civil Service Commission has begun probing allegations of mismanagement of the Israeli ambassador to the U.S.'s residence in Washington.
Investigator Natanel Levitt interviewed ambassador Danny Ayalon on Sunday, and proceeded Monday to interview the staff. He plans on questioning local embassy workers, diplomats and former domestic staff in the ambassador's residence.
Levitt's probe follows allegations concerning the management of Ayalon's residence, and his wife's inappropriate treatment of the domestic staff. Levitt may also inquire about allegations of trips taken by Ayalon and his secretary, Liran Peterzil.
