The case against Sephardic Chief Rabbi Shlomo Amar has been closed after no evidence was found to indicate he was connected to a kidnapping scandal involving his daughter's suitor, the Tel Aviv Prosecutor's Office announced today.
The rabbi's wife Mazal, his son Meir, and two Arab brothers involved in the affair, were however indicted at the Tel Aviv District Court today.
