Gal Friedman's olympic gold medal was stolen by theives who broke into his house in Carcur and took the safe of the two-time Olympic medalist for Israel in the mistral sailing event, and the first Israeli to ever win a gold medal.
The safe contained the family's valuables and Friedman's 2 olympic medals: The Bronze (Atlantic 1996), and the historic gold medal he took in Athens last summer.
