The Defense Ministry officials had arrived at the site with maps in order to inspect the local synagogue and mikve.
The night before, anti-disengagement protesters sabotaged bulldozers parked at the Israel Defense Forces lot near the Gaza border, in the second act of sabotage of its kind within a month.
A group of right-wing activists arrived at the parking area after dark Monday and poured sugar and sand into the engines of three bulldozers, putting them out of action.
