Nearly 100,000 people are expected to participate in Friday's gay pride parade in Tel Aviv, said the chairman of the national Association of Gay Men, Lesbians, Bisexuals and Transgender in Israel.

The parade will head from Rabin Square to Ibn Gavirol Street and end up in Yarkon Park, where there will be musical performances. MKs Yosef Lapid (Shinui), Eitan Cabel (Labor) and Zehava Gal-On (Yahad), as well as Tel Aviv Mayor Ron Huldai, are set to speak at the event.

Association chairman Mike Hamel said Friday the parade was organized with the "close cooperation" of the Tel Aviv municipality.
