The men's team of Udi Gal and Gidi Kliger and the women's team of Nika Kornitzky and Vered Buskila came in second after the competition's final day of sailing was called off due to insufficient winds.
The silver medals offered the Israeli sailing teams certain redemption, as they failed to capture one of the top three spots in the 2004 Athens Olympics.
