According to a study by the National Employment Service, May 2005 marks a 40% rise in the number of workers sought by employers compared to the same month last year.
The service registered 23.4 thousand requests for workers compared with 16.7 thousand in May 2004 and 15.21 thousand in April 2005 -- a rise of 54 percent.
Employment Service Director General Esther Dominisani said this is the highest number of requests for workers recorded since 2002.
