Though Ra'anana Mayor Zeev Bielski, the preferred candidate of Prime Minister Ariel Sharon, is still considered the front-runner, former Minister Natan Sharansky's supporters are hoping that the extra few days will allow them to persuade more of the 117 members of the Zionist General Council eligible to vote in the elections, to back the former Diaspora Affairs Minister.
