The IDF found a 20-meter tunnel running from the Palestinian town of Khan Younis into the Jewish community of Neve Dekalim, in the Gaza strip.
The discovery raised fears that terrorists may have planned to send suicide bombers to attack the area.
The tunnel was discovered after the PA relayed intelligence information to Israeli authorities.
