When he finishes evacuating Gaza, Maj. Gen. Dan Harel, commander of the army's southern front, will take over as Israel's military attache in Washington.
The military statement said after the pullout is completed, Harel will replace Maj. Gen. Amos Yadlin as the Israeli military attache in the Washington embassy. Yadlin returns to Israel to assume the post of chief of military intelligence.
