AG slams senior rabbi for putting 'halakhic curse' on PM Sharon

Chief municipal rabbi of the northern town of Kiryat Motzkin, Rabbi David Meir Druckman, allegedly proposed to put a curse ('pulsa denura') on the PM, that would send him "not, God forbid, to a world of good, but to the goats and cows at [his] Sycamore Ranch".

Druckman also called on worshipers in the Kiryat Motzin synagogue to pray that the "Sharon government be removed from this land," and he compared Sharon to Stalin.

Attorney General Menachem Mazuz recommended that a disciplinary hearing be held for the rabbi over unlawful political statements against Prime Minister Ariel Sharon and other ministers who support the disengagement.
