Rumors are circulating within Palestinian communities that preparations are under way to transfer Palestinian fighters from refugee camps in Lebanon to the Palestinian territories to help bridge the security gap there following the withdrawal of Israeli forces from Gaza.

Today, the Fatah Movement and the Palestinian Liberation Organization's factions have already started collecting the passports and recording the identities of the 1967 refugees who used to reside in Gaza and the Western Bank.

Fatah's general supervisor in Lebanon, Colonel Mounir Maqdah, did not deny the rumors, commenting that the next three months will be decisive.

"We were informed we will be with them soon," he added.
